I am Jacob Rowen, a mathematical and computational linguist at Stony Brook University. I have a BA in Computer Science and Linguistics from the University of California: Santa Cruz, and I am chiefly interested in how linguists can effectively reason about the formal properties of language. I consider myself an integrationalist, whole-story linguist; I think some of our best insights come from the ever-leaky interfaces between domains. Math, computer science, and logic give us some pretty powerful tools to generalize over subfields.
